December 2009
This month we are working on plans for another dinner trip to Ancaster Old Mill or Borealis. Tickets for both will be around 50.00 and will include transportation, 3 course meal, tour of the kitchen and time with the chef.
T-shirts are also on the agenda. We are obviously looking for environmentally sustainable options for both the shirts themselves and the methods used to embroider them. We’ll have to buy a minimum so, perhaps using our funds from the student council will work to purchase the first lot with hopes that sales will recoup the rest.
I doubt we’ll get to do much in the way of running another dinner fundraiser until the next semester, so stay tuned for that.
As well, it would be good to develop a display board for the next clubs day so we can recruit, I mean, show everone who isn’t a member that we are much cooler than them 😉
October 2009
Friday the 9th we’re heading to Artisanale restaurant in Guelph. Tickets are 35.00 (include a 3 course meal, tour of the kitchen, talk with the chef, and bus to and from Fergus) We leave at 5pm, sharp!
Food Bank Fundraiser
We’ll be discussing a dinner for the foodbankthat we’ll hold at a local restaurant in Elora. Hopefully we can get this up and running for early November.
Knives!
We still have knives for sale. They’re Henkle 9,5 inch and 35.00. Let me know soon if you want in. Visit the Food School to see an example.
Food School Sticker Fundraiser
We have funky stickers for sale now. They’re $0.50 and all proceeds go to future Food School initiatives. Go to the pantry, or find Mr. Jess for yours today.

I have to laugh a little bit, because of the amount of people in the club, and the amount of people that actually went on the trip.
Yeah, It is kindof messed up. You’d think that more of our member would actually bother to go. Ah well, it is their loss. Hopefully we will see more people out at the next event!
Says the guy who never even goes to class!
It was the most wonderful evening at the Desert Rose Cafe last Friday evening. The Food School students prepard an amazing dinner for a very happy sold out crowd of local foodies…Thank you!!
